Uplands Wine Trail Grand Prizes to be Awarded at Vintage Wine Festival in Indy

FRENCH LICK - The Indiana Uplands Wine Trail (IUWT) is rewarding their customers this past year with their prize drawing to be held during the Vintage Indiana Wine Festival. The festival is held annually at Military Park in downtown Indianapolis the first Saturday in June and this year the festival is on Saturday, June 5, 2010.

All customers of the nine wineries on the wine trail who completed a passport and visited all nine wineries received a wonderful picnic blanket at the last winery. In addition their names were entered to win the Grand Prize that will be awarded along with several smaller items during the Vintage Indiana wine festival.

All nine wineries will be attending the festival and offering free tastes of their award-winning wines. Grand prizes include an amethyst necklace created by Hinshaw Rocks and Gems of French Lick and several overnight lodging and dinner packages. In addition to the Passport Program the Indiana Uplands Wine Trail also hosts five other annual events in February, March, April, May and November through January.

Now comprised of nine wineries - Brown County, Butler, Oliver, Carousel, French Lick, Winzerwald, Turtle Run, Best and Huber - the Uplands Wine Trail was formed in 2003 as the first wine trail in the state.
