Indiana Uplands Wine Trail

Just completed the trail and received the picnic blanket. Nice quality and made from recycled materials. Congratulations to the Uplands Trail for going green! Hope to win the grand prize at Vintage Indiana! We'll be there.

By accident my boyfriend and I stumbled upon this event from other couples visiting Hubers Winery. Excited, we tried to start it last year, but we did not give it our best attempt to finish it. So this year we started it yet again and after this weekend, we will only have 2 other wineries to go. I have learned a lot, my tastes have changed somewhat, and it has been very exciting to taste some of the best wines that Indiana wineries have to offer. As for the boyfriend, he had wine appreciation classses with his culinary training so he is far more advanced then I could ever dream of becoming. Try it, you will LOVE it, just as we have.

... It's so unique to find wineries that interact like the ones found on the IUWT. It really sets the Indiana wineries apart from the rest of the country (at least the parts I have visited). You're all truely great in your own different ways and it's neat that you all find ways to support each other :)

To anyone interested in taking the tour, do so, we did a couple of week ends ago and it was great. We visited all 7 in two days. We stayed in Seymour and this put us right in the center of the tour. Everywhere we stopped we were greeted with very friendly people and were given good information. The dogwood and red buds were in bloom and even though we had a little rain, it was two great days. We truly enjoyed the trip and came home with 9 bottles of great wine.

I started the wine trail last summer with my sister from California by accident. We had such a great time, but didn't get to finish it because of time restraints, so a few months later my husband and his sister and husband and I finsished it to honor my sister. I finished her card and sent her the poster which she was exicited to receive. But back to the trail, we had a blast, we are planning another trip this summer with my brother and sister in law again. We are hoping to try some old favorites, and some new soon to become favorites.

What a pleasure it was to attend the March Madness the weekend of March 5th and 6th. We had a great time. Learned a lot about wines, tried wines I wouldn't not have tried before and had great foods. Please do this again as I am telling all of my friends. The price was great.
